The "Building a Water Supply System Resistant to Water Pollution in Vietnam" project is a project of SATREPS international science and technology cooperation project for global issues jointly implemented by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) of Japan and JICA, and aims to build a water supply system that can respond to water pollution using high technology. This is said to contribute to the realization of the sixth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals and SDGs, "Clean water and sanitation for the world."
The Vietnamese institution implementing the project is Hanoi University of Construction. Speaking at the signing ceremony, the university's rector, Pham Duy Hoa, expressed hope that the program will build a modern and effective monitoring system for water supply systems, as well as a water purification system that can deal with new pollutants.
The project is scheduled to run from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2028.
